It is like taking a breath of fresh air to see the Defender.
I have been wearing a diabetic foot cast with the standard generic boot for the last six weeks and I keep thinking there must be more aesthetically pleasing footwear for diabetics when faced with foot ulcers or prevention.
After all, it appears that the entire profession that thrives off diabetics makes the least attempt to make visually pleasing footwear or anything related to diabetic wound care. The methods employed are still so obsolete despite all the medical advancements made over the last 10-20 years and more. The orthotics made by most companies still employ archaic methods of foam forms when the technology for digital foot scans that produce more accurate results are available. The malformed orthotics/shoe inserts created by technicians who couldn't care less once they get paid their exorbitant charges are exactly what lead to discomfort of patients' feet that cause blisters, and ultimately lead to the ulcers.
